Put aside all the labels you carry (mother, father, general manager, assistant principal, teacher, close friend, sister, brother, and partner…) and step into a brand-new experience that will make you feel good today. Invite the new into your life without looking back and paying attention to the accumulation of successes or failures. Let's leave a word here that will be nice to remember. Life is not a place to settle accounts with the past but a place to build the future.
2- Forget everything that is not good to rememberWe talked about making room for the new, and now let's talk about how to open up that place. There is also a beautiful summer period ahead of us to forget the memories or experiences that are not good to remember. Sometimes letting go of a bad habit is another way to make room for the new. This change can be a starting point to stop comparing yourself to others or not even being able to say no, without complicating the work with very big changes. Even this change of behavior relaxes our hearts. It lightens our load and helps us focus our attention not on what is outside but on ourselves that we really have.
3- Prepare a country exploration mapWherever you are, maybe you are having a cup of coffee in Eminönü against the Golden Horn, or maybe you are admiring the walls of an old inn. Whether you are in Istanbul or in a different city, preparing a map to explore the country you are in is one of the most enjoyable activities you can do yourself this summer and learn by traveling. Take a big white page in your hand and start preparing the cities to discover the topics that will excite you. Maybe exploring the local cuisine is on the list of things to do, maybe there is an experience that is not available in other cities… Let's start exploring our own country this summer.
4- Check out our eating habitsHave you ever thought that one of the things that contribute to how you feel today might be your eating habits? What we eat is actually one of the elements that regulate our energy and make us feel better. Just like our dressing routines that change every season, we think that nutrition should be shaped by eating according to the season. Thus, what we eat will turn into things that make us feel light and fit. This summer, you can make room for change by checking out your eating habits.
5- Get inspired by different activities during summerSummer is also a delightful time to see an exhibition, listen to an author, or get inspired by a photograph. As CoBAC Workspace, we are planning to host events where you can come together with both art and culture and stay away from the business world.
